I woke up and thought: „Fuck, I had 6 beers the night before! But, anyway, I have to go to work.“ I crawled my way to the espresso machine and stared at it till it warmed up. After it finally reached 100°C, I got my posion. It was burnig hot, but I had my shot. After that I went straight to the shower, brushed my teeth, got dressed, grabbed my bag and made sure I had everything in my pockets. At 0834am I stared at Sandra to see, if she’s still alive. I wanted to ask her if she could lock the door, but then I realised, she won’t wake up. So I left at 0835am and left the door open.
I took the Orange Line from Mass Ave. to State. On my way out of Dunkin’ Donots I ran into someone from the office. She was saying: „Thank god is Friday.“ With my Flatbread and my Icetea in hand, I went to my Office.
It was 9am and I had already 6 mails. The first came at 7am. I knew that this is going to be bad. There were guys discussing about fees. I started reading one by one because one was the answer from the other. And that happens because people always copy you in all the mails.
At 10am I started with the Masterplan of the University of Pittsburg. Which, by the way, I’ve never been to Pittsburg. Thank you Google Earth and Google Maps. We get Plans from Ingenieurs, Landscape Architects and the City, and tried to figure out, which one is the right one.
I realised, if I wantet to leave early, I have to skip lunch. I texted Sandra, tried to find out, where she was, because she had the keys of the house. And I desperate wanted to leave the office. I kept on working, till she texted me, that she was downstairs waiting with the key. I told her, that I’ll be down in 20min. And sure, when you say 20min, people start to ask questions and it will take like 1hour.
At 0330pm I walked upstairs to say goodby to an Ex-Date-Co-Worker and it was very awkward. I didn’t know what to say. „Good Job“ or „Have fun“? Then I just walked out.
I met Sandra at CVS, because she texted me, that she waits there for me. We changed keys and Sandra said, she will go to Quincy Market. I said that I wanted to walk home, because I have some stuff to do.
I went through the Boston Common towards Copley towards the Library and then I walked next to Prudential. In the Boston Common you can see a lot. Kids trying to play with the squirls, couples walking through the park, musicians playing and dinosaurs. Which is strange, usually they are only seen in summer. But it was a beautiful day. The sun was warm and the light was very special.
At home I took my computer out of my bag, turned it on and felt like I’m back at the office. I thought „Fuck, ok, let’s have a beer first.“
At 0530pm Sandra got back home. I was stressed and grumpy and Sandra was starving. It was the perfect combination to go out and eat. We went to the Thai Restaurant „House of Siam“ which is one of the best around here.
